Get out of your own way... how do you interpret this? I think this is something that everyone struggles with. A quote i've recently come across really got me thinking: "It's not who you think you are, it's who you think you are not."

How often have you thought to yourself "I'm not good enough" "I could never do that" "I'll never be as good/talented/pretty as them" etc. I'll be the first to admit that I sometimes find myself speaking this negativity to myself without realizing the damage it does to my potential.
We need to stop thinking these awful thoughts and start feeding ourselves with words to help us prosper. Be your own best friend! I find that when I catch myself using these words to bring myself down, I replace them with encouraging words, helping me to believe in myself so much more.
You are the biggest investment you will ever make, and by bringing yourself down with thoughts of doubt, will get you nowhere. It's time to be your own cheerleader and start being there for yourself. The only person you every truly have to rely on is yourself and the sooner you realize that, the better!
I'm not saying that you shouldn't have to rely at all on your family and close relationships, obviously. They are there to be your support system. They are there to help you through hard times. What i'm saying is that they are not the ones who make decisions for you. They are not the ones who are going to bring you success. You need to do that for yourself! Having a support system is such a crucial thing to have when it comes to your personal success. But it is also important to be your own support system at the same time!
A way I like to kick self doubt and get out of my own way is to keep reminding myself of my goals, and what I want to accomplish. When you keep these goals in sight, it's much easier to kick self doubt and you're able to keep your eye on the prize.
My challenge to you is to trust yourself. Shift your mindset from feeling like you are just running around in circles trying to make ends meet to living in the moment and trusting that you are in the right place. Everything happens for a reason. Trust that you are exactly where you need to be and stop stressing about what you are not. This is only tiring you out and leaving you feeling like a failure, when the truth of the matter is, you are in your own way with this mindset. Once you learn how to be content with where you are now and learn how to grow instead of wallow in self pity, great things will come your way!
Until next time
